Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Internship for a Fintech Startup — The Rocks, Sydney

By removing the regulatory complexity of investor onboarding, structuring and ongoing operations, the client can concentrate on the most essential task of fuelling start-ups and delivering value to their investors By building a B2B Fintech/Regtech Platform and leveraging technology, our client’s goal is to provide a seamless end-to-end solution to go hand in hand with the modern pace Responsibilities: QA Testing & Automation: Write and execute both manual and automated test plans and cases for various system components. Script Development: Create and maintain automation scripts using TypeScript and JavaScript to streamline testing. Performance & Load Testing: Test system performance, analyse metrics, and perform load testing to ensure scalability. DevOps Integration: Gain exposure to DevOps practices by accessing the pipeline and supporting both QA and DevOps functions. Collaboration: Work closely with developers to refine QA processes and ensure optimal test coverage. Database Testing: Assist in testing database structures, ensuring data integrity and performance. Learning & Development: Receive mentorship, actively learning new tools and techniques in QA and automation. More: 6 months internship (with possibility of converting to a permanent full-time role after internship completion) Full-time preferred Start date: ASAP Must be based in Sydney, Australia Hybrid working model (office based in Sydney CBD) Monthly allowance provided to cover expenses Requirements About You: Currently in the final year or have recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Passionate about coding, scripting, and learning automation tools Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to quickly grasp technical concepts Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages Basic understanding of databases and performance testing Eagerness to learn and get hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative startup team Proactive, inquisitive, and a quick learner, ready to adapt and pick up new skills
